We were recently invited back by former clients to undertake additional new design work on their country house estate.
Our original commission had been to transform the undeveloped open grounds around the house into traditional gardens in keeping with the property, to anchor it into its surrounding slope and connect it to the wider rural landscape. Our solution was to create a series of interconnected gardens. These extend out from a protected parterre and terraces adjacent to the house to more open and outward-looking landscaped spaces where the gardens meet the surrounding fields.
It is a delight to see these gardens now that they have matured and to see the potential from the original design being realised.
